Welcome to the soft-launch of the new New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police Website! This site is ready for the membership to use. The site will be getting a large number of updates over the next week to put the finishing touches on the design, and to take care of a few clean up and optimization tasks on the back end.

During the soft-launch period, some parts may be unavailable while they are being optimized. This is temporary and not any cause for alarm, as this is to ensure a clean and well-working website for your organization.

A Message from New Jersey State FOP President, Robert Fox

Brothers and Sisters,

On Thursday, August 14, NJFOP delegates elected me to a two-year term as your President of the New Jersey FOP State Lodge at the 33rd Biennial Conference. This would never have become a reality without the support of my family, friends, and supporters within this Lodge. I am absolutely humbled to serve the 12,000 membership and will do all in my power to serve with distinction and honor.

I have been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police since 1973 when I was sworn in as a Cherry Hill police officer where I served for 25 years. During my career there, I held several offices in Cherry Hill FOP Lodge #28, including: Treasurer, State Trustee, Guard and President for 14 years.

My involvement with the NJ State FOP Lodge dates back to the early 90’s where I held a myriad of elected positions over the years. I have served as the National Trustee for two years, Sergeant at Arms for two years, Chaplain for 12 years, and Executive Vice President for eight years. From 2008-09, I was assigned to the Attorney General’s Suicide Task Force to develop a video to be used at every police academy to help prevent suicides.

I come to this position with the endorsements of all Past NJ State FOP Presidents, including our immediate Past President, Ed Brannigan. It’s only appropriate that I take this time to commend Past President Ed Brannigan for his outstanding leadership over the last 12 years. I look forward to continued engagement with Brother Brannigan as he represents us as Vice President to the National FOP Executive Board.

While we have many major legislative issues on the table, the priority now is to protect the pensions and benefits of our officers in this state, as you protect us on the streets in this State.

In closing, I will work closely with our Executive Board to ensure that the NJ FOP remains strong and our voice is heard. I will communicate with you on a regular basis and seek your support and input on critical issues. It goes without saying, our optimum goal is to do what is best for the good of the order.

Fraternally yours,

Robert W. Fox
